Meet the Trustees
Robyn Reid - ChairmanRobyn has a background in aviation, having run her own helicopter company from 1983 to 2002. During this time she worked with many different industries throughout the Nelson Region. Apart from being Chairman of the EDA she has been a member of the Small Business Advisory Group, a Director of Latitude Nelson, Board Member of the Civil Aviation Authority and Board member of the Aviation Security Service. She is also a past member of the Nelson Marlborough Conservation Board and a past President of the Nelson Regional Chamber of Commerce. Robyn and her husband have a farm property and are currently restoring vintage aircraft. |

Paul DalzellPaul is Sales & Marketing Manager of Nelson Pine Industries Limited and has been involved in senior management positions in the forestry industry for the last 27 years in Nelson. Prior to moving with his family to Nelson Tasman region, he had been employed in the investment banking industry in Auckland. He was a Director of Latitude Nelson for 9 years and its Chairman for the last 5 years of his term as a Director. He is currently Chairman of New Zealand Hops Limited. Paul can also be spotted in the weekends on a mountain bike or in the region’s national parks and in Golden Bay enjoying the best of what the region has to offer - great food, wine and beaches. |

Ropata TaylorRopata is an Executive for Wakatu Incorporation and is the General Manager of the Manaaki Sector. He was formerly a secondary school teacher at Nelson College and is a graduate of the University of Otago. He is the past Chair of the Nelson/Marlborough Conservation Board and is on the board of the Kaiteriteri Recreation Reserve. Ropata is a Trustee of the Ngati Rarua Atiawa Iwi Trust and Te Awhina Marae. He has been involved in resource management, economic development, social distribution and political advocacy. |

Ian WheelerIan moved to Tasman in 1979 and has worked mostly within the region, gaining senior management experience as South Island Manager for Carter Holt Harvey Forests Ltd. and Division Manager Asset Management for Nelson City Council. He later spent 3 years in Australia as CEO Alpine MDF Pty. Ltd. Ian is currently Business Manager for Trinder Engineering Limited. Nelson is a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family. In Ian's free time he either chooses to relax on his hobby farm, tramp in the native forests and enjoys fishing. |
